Abstract

This Master of Education study investigates the causes of poor performance in the Kiswahili KCSE examination in Kipipiri Division of Nyandarua District. Drawing on evidence from teachers, learners, and school administrators, the research identifies pedagogical, linguistic, and contextual factors that shape performance, and proposes targeted interventions for improving Kiswahili teaching and learning outcomes at the secondary school level.
